Mairi's Shrimp

MAIRI'S SHRIMP is originally a Thurso fly which excels in peat stained rivers and also in clear water at dusk.

I first tied it for my father several years ago and it has since accounted for scores of Thurso salmon. Over the years it has taken fish all over the north of Scotland, Russia, Ireland England and Wales.

Silver Shrimp

THE SILVER SHRIMP is a Ness pattern devised by Graham McKenzie of Inverness. It is a combination of that other stalwart Ness pattern, the Black Shrimp, and the Silver Stoat and.
The Silver Shrimp has many salmon on its conscience. Try it in clear water any time for summer salmon and grilse.
